Hello everyone,

I received this request from Kevin Lockwood, who is the Chair of the Prince Edward County Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).  Kevin has asked that Community Living Prince Edward assist the AAC by completing and circulating their Accessibility Survey.

The committee is comprised of PEC residents who are passionate about helping Prince Edward County become a barrier-free community. Committee Members include Kevin Lockwood (chair), Ernie Margetson (councillor), Alison Kelly, Hudson Yarrow, Nancy Stephenson, Ken Dewar, and Misu Burns.

The committee envisions PEC as a barrier-free community for residents, employees, and visitors. We believe in inclusive communities for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age, ability, language, or any other factor. The accessibility survey is predominantly focused on municipally owned land and buildings so we can make recommendations to Council on accessibility issues pertaining to the municipality. We are reaching out to the public at large and community partners (such as yours) to better understand the current concerns, issues, and challenges people may face.

Please feel free to complete the survey yourself as well as share it with people and families we serve. The deadline for submission is January 31, 2020. See the link below

Thank you,
