Our MissionTo facilitate the participation of people with disabilities in the life of the community and its economy. This mission is addressed in the context of both advocacy activities and service provision.

Community Supports and Services

Community Living Prince Edward supports people to make meaningful connections and participate in their community based on individual preferences and interests. Supports or opportunities may include:
  • Volunteerism
  • Employment
  • Leisure
  • Recreation
  • Participation in local clubs
  • Charity Work
  • Facilitating Friendships
  • Building Social Capital and roles of responsibility in the community. 
  • Employment Training at Heart of the County Retail and Splashworks Car Wash.
  • Planned Activities at 29 Elizabeth Street.
  • A calendar outlining a variety of activities and events is also provided on a monthly basis.
  • Case Management supports to plan for and utilize individualized funding as available
Staff work with community members to coordinate a variety of inclusive opportunities within local businesses, recreational facilities, local clubs, sports teams, schools, churches, etc. Ongoing support and guidance is provided; CLPE staff act as a resource for community members.
