Save Council is a time for the members of the group to get together to talk about things that are important to them and talk about what kind of supports they need and want. This is an opportunity to learn new skills and information such as voting, first aid, planning vacations and understanding rights and responsibilities.

SAVE Council meets the third Monday of the month.

A number of SAVE members are on different committees with Community Living Prince Edward such as the Quality Enhancement Committee, the Board of Directors, the Rights Committee and the Marketing Committee.

Self Advocates:
The County Advocates are self-advocates who meet together bi-weekly at Community Living Prince Edward.  The County Advocates organize SAVE Council meetings; assist with interviewing new staff; translate CLPE paperwork to plain language; facilitate presentations for members of the community such as schools and service clubs; conduct training and education for staff and for people receiving support. The County Advocates attend conferences and provincial initiatives.
