Self Advocates

People who have an intellectual disability are speaking out across Ontario. There are more and more ways for people to  have a voice about what's important. There are individuals and groups that speak up about rights and choices.

Self Advocates Group: Community Living Prince Edward facilitates a Self Advocates Group. Self Advocates attend conferences, give presentations to community members and local schools, provide recommendations to CLPE, organize events for people, and promote inclusion and equality.  Meetings are held bi-weekly from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Youth Cafe: Youth Cafe is a Self Advocates group geared to youth and young adults. The group meets on a montly basis and addresses issues, questions and concerns directly affecting young adults. Call Community Living
Prince Edward for details at 613-476-6038 or email us at info@clpe.on.ca
