Did you know that Tuesday, November 30, 2021, is the 9th Annual International “Giving Tuesday Day”?

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that takes place each year after Black Friday.  Giving Tuesday has been deemed the “opening day of the giving season” and is when charities, companies, and citizens join together to support one of their favorite causes.

The Reward and Recognition Committee invites you to join everyone at Community Living Prince Edward in Giving Tuesday by providing a non-perishable food donation to the Salvation Army food bank.  The Salvation Army opens its doors three days a week to provide this much-needed service to people in our community.  They have shared that the need is greater than ever this year.

We have set up a drop box in the lobby at 67 King St. to share our donations collectively.     We will take our collective donation to the Salvation Army on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Donations are welcome from anyone who wants to participate.  The following items would be appreciated by the Salvation Army Food Bank:

• Cereal
• Pasta
• Pasta Sauce
• Soup
• Crackers
• Tea and Coffee
• Canned vegetables
• Canned Fruit
• Canned meat
• Oatmeal
• Pancake Mix and syrup
• Rice
