Conscious Care

Community Living Prince Edward was honoured to be selected as one of six organizations from across Ontario to participate in a demonstration project in partnership with Community Living Windsor and A Centre for Conscious Care, founded by Peter Marx. This 18 month project is funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

This initiative was launched in September 2017 as CLPE hosted an introductory session for over 80 family members, employees and community partners. This was followed by a four-day training program for 30 family members and employees who had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the core principles of CCS. Engagement in CCS is already proving to have a positive impact on people we serve, families and employees and the organization as a whole.
