Yesterday marked the 26th annual McHappy Day, a one-day celebration in support of Ronald McDonald House and local children’s charities.
This year, the local McDonald's in Picton also raised money for the Recreation Outreach Centre, a group that provides opportunities, mentorship and programs in a safe environment that encourages youth success and contributes to a healthier community in Prince Edward County. Representatives from several agencies, including Community Living Prince Edward, the Picton Detachment of the OPP, ROC, and The County were all invited to participate in this community-building event.
Jessica (pictured below alongside Community Supports and Services Coordinator Janet Burns and OPP Community Safety Officer Patrick Menard) represented CLPE and was responsible for the 50/50 raffle draw. Lots of community involvement and support made this a successful and fun day for everyone!
