Associate Home or Respite Provider

The Associate Home Program matches families, couples or individuals and a person living with an intellectual disability to live together on a full-time basis.

  • Each family home is unique and the supports provided are individualized and tailored to the meet the needs, desires and unique circumstances of both the person with an intellectual disability and the family.
  • Staff maintain ongoing support and monitoring to help ensure everything is running smoothly and that lasting relationships are formed.
  • Respite is arranged on an individual basis with each Associate Home Provider. Respite is when the person with an Intellectual Disability stays in another home for a short period of time.
  • All potential Associate Home and Respite Providers must undergo an extensive home study and screening process
  • Associate Home Providers receive remuneration, professional support and training.

Associate Home Respite Providers:

  • Associate Home Respite Providers offer respite in their home on a casual, part-time basis for people with an intellectual disability.
  • Providers receive re-numeration and training.

Community Living Prince Edward is looking for families, couples or individuals who would be interested in:

  • sharing their home by becoming an Associate Home Provider / Respite Provider and/or Host Family
  • providing a caring family atmosphere for a person living with an intellectual disability

Associate Home Respite is a program in which the Associate Home Providers and the people they support are provided with short-term out of home respite periods.

The Associate Home Program is a full-time program which matches families, couples or individuals and a person living with an intellectual disability to live together on a full-time basis.

Host Family is a temporary short-term program to provide parent relief to a child living with an intellectual disability who lives with their family in the community.

Community Living Prince Edward offers financial remuneration, professional support and training.

We welcome applicants from Belleville, Trenton, Centre Hastings, Prince Edward County and the surrounding area.
