Will & Estate Planning

During the Spring of 2017 the Family Engagement Network organized a learning event for families of people with disabilities about Financial Planning.

Kenneth Pope - Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public was there to share his expertise and years of experience in disability law and provide families answers to their questions about planning a safe and secure future for their family member.  He shared knowledge on Wills and Estates, Henson Trust, RDSP, Guardianship, Power of Attorney and other benefits that are available to families and their loved ones through the government.

There were 20 families in attendance not only from Prince Edward County but from surrounding areas as well.  This is the first of many events that the Network would like to plan and host.  Their focus is on educating and providing resources to families to help improve the lives of their family members.
